About the Role:
As the IMCR (Incident Management & Crisis Resolution) and Risk Management Leader for the Africa Operating Unit, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the management of technical incidents across the supply chain. Your focus will be on ensuring food safety, workplace safety, and quality compliance while driving process improvements to prevent recurring issues.
You will serve as the primary Technical representative within the Africa IMCR team, collaborating with Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability (PACS), Global Security (GSAP), and franchise partners to strengthen crisis response protocols. Additionally, you will lead Technical Risk Management initiatives, ensuring alignment with global standards and local mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Incident Management & Crisis Resolution (IMCR):
- Lead IMCR preparedness through training, simulations, and process refinement.
- Act as the primary liaison between Africa leadership and corporate teams during crises, providing real-time updates on risks and action plans.
- Direct technical response efforts during incidents, ensuring swift resolution and preventive measures.
- Document lessons learned and drive corrective actions across the supply chain.
2. Technical Risk Management:
- Implement and monitor the Technical Risk Management Framework (TRMF) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) systems.
- Identify emerging risks in manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and sustainability, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Analyze big data trends to enhance risk assessment tools and reporting.
3. Governance & Continuous Improvement:
- Establish regional risk governance and compliance standards.
- Promote knowledge-sharing on best practices in quality, safety, and risk mitigation.
- Drive innovation in risk management by integrating cross-functional insights.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in beverage/food manufacturing, FMCG, or technical operations (QSE experience preferred).
- Proven leadership in crisis management, root cause analysis, and change management.
- Expertise in GMP, HACCP, GFSI, OSHA, and food safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in risk assessment methodologies.
- Ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate across global teams.

About the Role
As the Senior Director of Human Insights for Africa, you will lead the strategic development and execution of consumer and shopper insights across the Africa Operating Unit (OU). You will serve as a visionary leader, shaping the Human Insights agenda while aligning with global best practices. Your role will be pivotal in transforming data into actionable strategies that drive brand growth, innovation, and marketing excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Human Insights & Trends Leadership
- Define and implement the Insights Learning Plan, uncovering future consumer trends, behavioral science applications, and cultural shifts.
- Leverage Growth Behavioral Science and Brand Edge Segmentation to decode human motivations and emerging market dynamics.
- Conduct advanced consumer analytics, integrating data from multiple sources to provide holistic business solutions.
2. Consumer & Shopper Insights Strategy
- Lead category and channel-specific insights, identifying growth opportunities and risks.
- Develop creative strategy insights to guide brand positioning, campaign development, and consumer co-creation.
- Drive innovation pipelines by delivering insights for new product development, packaging design, and regional/local brand launches.
- Establish testing protocols for product concepts, marketing campaigns, and shopper experience optimization.
3. Research & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Oversee ad-hoc research for global campaigns, innovation projects, and market expansions.
- Share Africa OU insights with the global Human Insights network, contributing to best practices and capability development.
- Partner with Integrated Marketing, R&D, and Commercial Teams to embed consumer-centric thinking across the business.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 12+ years in senior leadership roles across Consumer Insights, Market Research, Business Strategy, or FMCG Marketing.
- Expertise in AI-driven insights, machine learning applications in research, and behavioral science.
- Strong background in qualitative & quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to translate data into strategic actions.
- Proven success in stakeholder management, influencing cross-functional teams to drive business impact.
- Deep knowledge of FMCG/CPG trends, with experience in emerging markets (Africa preferred).
